The name Dialogus (Latin: dialog) means for us to broaden the understanding of different points of view and to consciously listen to and understand the side of the other. This project is about Brazil and Switzerland: two worlds and a platform for musical dialogue. Paradoxical opposites and yet complementary principles in art and the resulting fusions are the theme of our next project.
Together with the Brazilian pianist Fernando Calixto and the Swiss singer Silas Bürgi-Zentner, accompanied by the Sinfonietta Bern conducted by of Igor Andreev, we will explore these themes and offer the audience in Bern and Biel musical answers and inspiration.

As part of their first joint project, the ensembles Sinfonietta Bern and WorkshOpera Bern are tackling three operas at once: Kurt Weill's "The 7 Deadly Sins", Gian Carlo Menotti's "The Telephone" and the world premiere of Ricardo Acosta's "El perro perdido". These will be presented one after the other, a concept that ties in with the Italian tradition of trilogies such as "Il Trittico" by Giacomo Puccini.
Here, different languages and musical styles meet and merge into a fascinating synthesis of the arts. This artistic combination encourages reflection on connections, similarities and differences and at the same time offers a colorful and captivating entertainment experience for artists and audience alike.

This time, they are also joined by the Sinfonietta Bern under the direction of Kirill Zvegintsov. Commissioned composition, the discovery of well-known works in new formats, and the synthesis of traditional and contemporary musical languages promise an enriching concert evening.

«Crazy Simple» - that's how we called our concert program, which combines works by Swiss and Ukrainian composers.
What does crazy simple mean? Is it possible to connect disparate nations through music and communicate a message of peace? In these difficult times for Europe, wouldn't it be time for all people to support each other more than ever? Together with artists from Ukraine we are looking for musical answers to these questions and firmly believe that even small steps can bring about big changes.
«Crazy Simple» – a musical plea for peace and justice as an answer to war and injustice.
